Divorce Care

NEW GROUP BEGINS MONDAY JANUARY 9, 2017

6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Please call or email to sign up

DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences.

Don't go through separation or divorce alone

DivorceCare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You'll gain access to valuable DivorceCare resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they've ever faced. It's a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you've never faced before. DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges.

DivorceCare is led by facilitators who have experienced divorce themselves. They understand the pain of divorce. The group meets on Monday evenings at 6:30- 8:00 pm when in session.  All participants are asked to pre-register before attending. Each group meets for 13 weeks.  Couldn't attend the first meeting? Some can't and still attend as able. Child care may be arranged upon request. Separated couples or ex-spouses may not participate together in the same group.

For more information please contact the church. You may call the church at 263-2417. Please speak clearly repeating your contact information if leaving a message or email church@bethelmorton.org.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you've never faced before.

Each week your group will watch a GriefShare video, along with a workbook, covering topics essential to your recovery from the hurt of grief and loss. You'll begin to gain closure in your loss. You'll discover hope for the future. Many GriefShare alumni say the program helped them move from deep grief to peace and a sense of joy again.
